WORKSHOP - Young Luv with Courtney Ugle from Djirra

The Young Luv program, part of Djirra’s Early Intervention and Prevention initiative, focuses on fostering healthy relationships for Aboriginal young women aged 13-18.

This two-hour workshop, led by Aboriginal woman Courtney Ugle, who is highly valued in the community.

It emphasizes healthy and respectful relationships, equipping participants with skills to challenge unhealthy dynamics and promoting positive and safe behaviors.

Cultural strengthening is integral, emphasizing the value of culture and identity. Young Luv® harnesses cultural strength to empower young women with resilience and coping strategies, encouraging reflection on aspirations and decision-making.

The program provides a culturally safe space for discussions on healthy relationships, recognizing inappropriate behavior, dating safety, and responsible online and social media use.
